If I could travel through time and space,
I would like to visit………my childhood
By: Robert hsiao 蕭煥謙 96871316 不分系甲班

If someone asked me that question, I would definitely answer: “ that must be primary school period of my life, especially the period of which I was in South Africa.”
I believe everyone has a desire to return to a special time in ones life of which they have the most vivid memory of. That yearning to return is sometimes just indescribable, yet it is there, no matter how much effort you put into resisting it.

Why do I want to return? I miss those days, those carefree days where I can fish after school, ride my bycicle to wherever I want to go, enjoy a muddy rugby match while the sun disappears from the horizon. I still remember my mom forcing us to swim, yet we ignored her. Now in Taiwan, I can’t even dream of having a private pool!
Yes, I miss those days, but somehow I don’t regret growing up. I guess it’s just a part of life, one has to grow up, time is punctual as it waits for no one. I can still recall myself as a little boy, waiting for the school bell to ring, waiting……and imagining catching a Karp or Barbel by the Sonstraal Dam, waiting…….

One cannot linger on the past anymore, one must face the present, expect the future. I remember I have seen a report that says one often idealizes one’s own memory but it’s never as good as they thought it would be. That is the fault in man I think, we always miss what we don’t have but we never cherish what we do have. So this cycle goes forever on. I imagine twenty years from now, I will moan like I do now about how I miss my college life. Yes, I do miss miss my childhood, but if I have the supernatural power to travel through the vortex of time then I still choose to pass it on.
There is a famous saying by the US comedian Will Rogers: “ Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.”
So remember your past, embrace today and hope for a better tomorrow!!
Oh! I forgot, my midterms are near……I must face my present……

Who am I to blame
Although I have expected this outcome, but It certainly is unexpected to me. Who am I to blame? Who says that three years of effort can be beaten by just a month of hard work? At the end, I can only blame myself. I am really not a good student. Everone has their goals, their dreams, I hope I can reach mine one day.

I know I know, you're probably asking why i havn't upload any new article since July. Well thats because I've been really busy. He are a few things I've been through this summer.

Graduation from Chia-Yi industrial vocantional high school.

Gotten myself into NTUT.

Work all summer at a part time job.

The Malaysian trip(yeah!!)

and clubs.

here i will share with you some photos:

Our class

The view from Kee- Lung mountain

Our trip to Hualien on the other side of Taiwan

Us three brother's in the Patronas Tower in Kualar Lumphur.
Currently the second tallest, the first tallest in the world (101) is only about a kilometer or two from NTUT. I'll upload some photo's of if later.

The photo of which I'm most proud of (taken in Pankor island, Malaysia). That look of pure care and love on the mothers face is just so magnificent.

The view of the sky and sea when we left Pankor island. As it happens so often, one feels so sad when holidays end. We may have to leave, but may our memories stay on the island till the end of time.......

As the midterms near, so does my article need to end. I'll post as soon as i have the chance. So i bid you farewell, Amigo.

哇!!第一篇文章ㄟ!!不知要寫什ㄇ??好吧 先自我介紹

wow!! my first blog!!what should i write?? ok, let me introduce myself

this is me

現在大家看到我了, 來聊主題吧:

now that everybody has seen me, the topic:

Now, it's been on the news for some time now. And as usual, the most debated question is, "what happened to Harry? did hermonie die, or was it Ron?? I bought this book the day it got out(21th) at eslite, the most high class book store i have ever seen. (what's with the American and England edition? their prices vary by 200NT) And as i excitedly brought it back to the dorm, everybody was as excited as I was, only they couldn't understand it!!At once, everybody asked me to turn to the last few pages to see how it ended. I refused, thinking that what's the fun in reading if we only see the outcome of it? (besides, J.K Rowling will suffer some profit loss if I told my classmates. But?? come on, she's richer than the queen of britian!!) The next day, the most funniest thing happened!! My "special" dorm mates told me they had read it while i was sleeping, and the outcome was: Harry survived and he became the headmaster of Hogwarts!! haha that's funny! With this kind of imagination, they could write, " Harry, the eighth book(internet edition)." haha!!

Sometimes it's not the outcome that matters, it's the process. It's what we must learn in life, you're not always the winner. We must take the humiliation of losing as a motivation for moving foward, and the glory of winning as being humble. Dedication: the key for success.
